Forgotten password recovery
When a file is genuinely encrypted, the password can’t be stripped — it has to be recovered by computation. Tell us about your file and we’ll reply with whether it’s possible and the price. You only pay if we succeed.
Don’t send the file yet — just the details. We’ll confirm feasibility and price first.
How it works
- 1. Tell us about the file — type, and what you know about the password.
- 2. We assess it — and reply with whether recovery is realistic and a fixed price.
- 3. You only pay on success — if we can’t recover it, there’s nothing to pay.
What we can usually recover
Older formats (legacy Office, old PDFs, legacy ZIP) are routinely recoverable. Modern AES-encrypted files (recent Office, PDF, RAR5, 7-Zip) depend on the password — common and human-chosen passwords are very often recovered; long random ones may not be. We’ll always tell you honestly before you commit.
Free first
If your file only has editing restrictions (not a password to open), you don’t need this — use our free PDF, Excel, Word or ZIP tools instead.
